I think it would be helpful to everyone if we posted earlier in the week. I am posting on Monday morning to get ahead, not because I forgot to post last week or something. I just think we could all learn more and engage in better conversation if we did not wait until Sunday night to post something. I am busy just like all you guys, but it only takes about fifteen minutes at most to make a good post. If you just add it into your homework schedule on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, then you will be able to post a blog for the week, check out other people's blogs, and comment on them. Please make an effort as it will make blogging more fun if more than just a few people are faithful to it.
Does anyone agree or disagree about this?
Agreed. I hate taking classes with an online forum. I am thinking that grading is not based on if you read all the messages (including the late ones) The best setup I experienced was in blackboard and we had a deadline to post and a deadline to respond to other posts. That way everyone can post and read and reply at the same time.
ReplyDeleteIt is not the online forum that I dislike. I dislike the fact that everyone waits until the last second to make a post and therefore if any conversation is carried on at all, it is the next week. I am busy and I understand that sometimes it is difficult to post, but if people can't just take a few minutes out of their day to post, that is just ridiculous. At least that is my opinion. Maybe two deadlines would be more effective, I don't know because this is the first class I have ever had to blog for.
ReplyDeleteyea maybe I wrote it wrong, I mean what you mean. But still if you have 2 due dates, one for the initial post, and the other for the replies, it will solve it.
ReplyDeleteYes... I now know what you mean and agree. haha.
