Midterm

I finally figured out logic... at least to some point. I managed to get an 87% by studying for hours and hours and then taking the test. The only multiple choice questions I got wrong were 16,18, and 20. Then, I just made the mistake of saying the third argument was a valid one and did not provide a counterexample. All in all, I am happy with my grade as I saw a significant improvement since the quizzes.

What did you guys think of the midterm?

  1. I answered what I thought were the correct answers. Stupid of me. I do that with the practice questions too. I need to answer what the book says is the correct answer. Good job on your achievement. I am shocked that everyone got such crappy grades, although I did pretty bad and I put in many study hours over the last week and did the homework as well.

  2. Yeah I have learned that, in logic, I can not go with my gut feeling. It just does not work that way. I have figured out exactly what you said, you have to put what the book thinks are the correct answers. I get really frustrated sometimes, but I just try to remind myself that as long as I keep working hard, I will keep getting better at logic.

I'm sorry you did not get the results you expected and/or deserved. I definitely know what you mean. That happens to me almost every week on the quizzes. All you can do is continue doing the homework and just hope it gets better week by week.
